Fairfield Community Development Director, Kevin Snyder, is pleased to announce that the City of Fairfield has hired award-winning, Economic Development Manager Paul Nguyen.
Nguyen comes to Fairfield with over 13 years of economic development experience in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, he was the economic development specialist with the City of Hayward for three years and prior to that, for 10 years Nguyen managed the western region of an economics consulting company. Nguyen says, “I am excited to have the opportunity to work with the City’s team to achieve its economic vision and goals. My experience has taught me the value of being responsive, proactive, and respectful of the risks entrepreneurs face.”
“Paul’s knowledge, skills and experience will make a great addition to the Fairfield team,” says Snyder. “This is a case of the right person at the right time. Fairfield is the center of an incredible amount of economic development and business growth and development with more to come. Paul, working with his team and the rest of the Community Development staff, will be instrumental in continuing to expand Fairfield’s reputation as the first and best place to do business in Solano County.”
Nguyen is a 2017 recipient of recognition from the California Association for Local Economic Development for developing a business attraction, expansion, and retention program called the Business Concierge Program. This program was recently featured as a best practice, case study by SFMade’s Bay Area Urban Manufacturing Initiative.
Welcome to Fairfield Paul!
